Common Sucker rod

Sanjack can supply common sucker rods and pony rods which comply with intl standard. These sucker rods also have various types to fit different environments and applications. They are manufactured through many processes including the testing, straightening and forging. Sucker rods of Sanjack are made of high quality carbon steel and alloy steeldue to customer request. Oursucker rods are exported to the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa and Middle East, and we establish cooperative relationships with international customers all over the world.

The Sucker rod of Sanjack is manufactured through many processes including the testing, straightening and forging. The sucker rod is placed between the polished rod and oil well pump. Sucker rod is made ofhigh quality carbon steel and alloy steel, which is conform to the intl standard.

Pony rods are sucker rods shorter than 25 ft, and they vary in length. They are most commonly placed adjacent to the polished rod at the top of the rod string, on top of the downhole pump for handling purposes, and on top of the polished rod with appropriate couplings to prevent the string from falling downhole if the polished-rod clamp slips.

Grade

Sucker rods of Sanjack have different strength grades according to the material, including C,D,K and KD.The following data sheet shows the physical performancecomparison of them.

Grade Tensile strength MPa Yield strength MPa Percentage elongation % Contraction percentage of area %
C 620 – 795 ≥ 415 ≥ 13 ≥ 50
K 620 – 795 ≥ 415 ≥ 13 ≥ 60
D 795 – 965 ≥ 590 ≥ 10 ≥ 50
KD 795 – 965 ≥ 590 ≥ 10 ≥ 50

Grade C sucker rods own moderate strength with a certain degree of resistance to the sulfide stress cracking, so suitable for light sour environments. Grade D sucker rodsaremade of high quality heat treated steel alloy, which has high tensile and yield strength, it is can be used in the non-corroding or mildly corroding environments.

Grade K&KD sucker rods have a good corrosion resistance in mediumof H2S, CO2, and NaCl, so widely used in corrosion environments or heavy load wells.

Specification in subtotal

  • Material: high quality carbon steel or alloy steel.
  • Grade: C, D, K, KD
  • Rod diameter: 5/8″, 3/4″, 7/8″, 1″ and 1-1/4″.
